West Boylston- Bradford S. Rawson, 94 passed away in his home on Sunday, August 29,2021 with his loving family by his side.

Brad was born in Worcester, son of Anna E. (Stevens) and Henry L. Rawson on July 29, 1927.

After attending Worcester Boys Trade, he proudly served his country as a Fireman First Class for the United States Navy. Brad married the love of his life, Ruth, in 1949 and resided in West Boylston. They built a home together in 1950 where they raised their three beautiful children. Although Brad was employed by the Telegram and Gazette for forty years as a web pressman, his true passion was for carpentry. He had worked a number of years for local contractors and always enjoyed creating wooden "treasures" for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Brad had several other hobbies and talents including, masonry, gardening and coin collecting. He and Ruth enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, Canada and Germany. Above all, his greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his family.

Brad will be missed by many including his beloved wife of 71yrs, Ruth (Ayers) Rawson; three children, Steven Rawson and his wife, Kathy, of Winchendon, Nancy (Rawson) Deitemeyer and her husband, Mark, of West Boylston, and Deborah (Rawson) Tannebring and her husband, Brad, of Pemaquid, ME; seven loving grandchildren, four precious great grandchildren, a loving goddaughter and close friend Joan Sjogren and family. Brad was predeceased by his sister Muriel (Rawson) Albro.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Brad's life on Friday, September 10th at the Fay Brother's Life Celebration Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. Visitation will begin at 11:00am until 12:00noon with a service immediately following. He will be laid to rest in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Church St., West Boylston.
